Heppi was founded by Esther Naalden, writer/illustrator and mother of 2 young children. With Heppi she can fulfill her passion to create fun and educational products for kids between 2 and 6 years, while using the motto “less is more”. She uses her study in Disability Studies and Inclusive Education and her own experience as Mom to understand what drives children. Bo the Giraffe, an adorable and playful little giraffe, and his friends are the main characters in her creations.
In 2003 the first Bo the Giraffe children’s book “When I am Grown Up…” was published. At the moment 26 Bo the Giraffe children's books are available on the Dutch and Belgium Market.
Bo the Giraffe has appeared in 5 full Apps and 2 lite Apps since 2011.
The first Bo the Giraffe App "Bo's Bedtime Story" won the prestigious Dutch Media Preschool Award 2012 for Best App, while Sesamstreet won for Best TV-show and Miffy won for Best Website.
The second App "Bo's Dinnertime Story" was one of the 5 nominees for the 2013 election of the Dutch Media Preschool Award for Best App
Third App "Bo's Jigsaw Puzzles" has already been several weeks in the What's Hot list in iTunes.
